Attracting rowers and spectators from around the globe, Henley Royal Regatta is the quintessence of Englishness and one of the highlights of the social calendar.
The charter includes the services of a professional skipper and crew, gourmet luncheon (see sample menu choices), traditional English afternoon tea, unlimited Bollinger, Pimm’s, quality French wines and mineral water. Parties of 12 can be accommodated if you opt to inlcude our beautiful classic slipper launch – Oleanda – in your programme.
A typical day at Henley Royal Regatta might be:
- Embarkation at the River and Rowing Museum jetty at 12 noon
- Welcome glass of Pimms (or three)
- Cruise the regatta course accompanied by champagne and canapés
- Gourmet luncheon on the lawn of our private island, after which guests can choose whether to watch the afternoon races or take time out to simply enjoy being on the river
- Traditional English tea will be served at 4 o’clock
- Farewell drinks at 5.30pm
- Wave goodbye at 6.30pm
If you have included Oleanda in your programme, guests can watch the racing at shoulder height with the crews. We cannot, of course, guarantee to keep up with the rowers who can cover the one mile, 550 yard course in seven minutes.
